Rochestown Senior football team drew with St.Fachtnads of Skibereen yesterday with a scoreline of 3-7 to 2-10.
Rochestown started well with Shane Kingston and Liam O’Sullivan putting Rochestown 7 points up in the first 25 minutes. This good run ended as Tom Bushe of St.Fachtnads scored 1-1 to reduce the deficit to 3 points at half-time.
St.Fachtnads started the second half well scoring 1-6 without any response from Rochestown. Eoin O’Brien scored an excellent goal but Fachtnads replied well with 3 points of their own. Kevin O’Donovan won Rochestown a penalty which Ben McAuliffe converted. Ciaran Cormack scored a goal in the last two minutes to make it a draw and Rochestown nearly stole it with the last kick of the game only for James Holland to be denied by the post.
